“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” - Helen Keller
After publishing my first book, Understanding Lenny: A Book About A Boy With Autism I wanted to share it with as many people as possible. I donated copies to autism organizations, schools, libraries and families who were touched by autism.
In my quest to spread the word, I was empowered to do more for the neurodiverse community. I wanted to find a way to give to others and also involve my children who are also diagnosed with autism. I wanted to teach them skills that would benefit them in the future, but also important lessons like giving to others.
As a family, we initiated fundraisers on Instagram to support other like-minded organizations and causes by selling crayon name gifts, lootbags and personalized party favors. We attended markets and set-up lemonade stands and found other ways to tap into our creative juices. From there, we registered as a charitable organization and obtained our charitable registration number.
With the help and support of my dedicated executive board members, I am excited to support the neurodiverse community and share updates on our past projects that are underway, and launch the new projects we are working on behind the scenes.
If you’re interested in supporting our projects as a sponsor, please feel free to contact us to learn more about our sponsorship packages.
We appreciate all the support we’ve received to date and look forward to the year ahead.
